Folks,

I'm looking for recommendations for a video card to match the above where I will not be playing very many games. I just want the best HDTV picture and DVD playback that I can get.

I've a Dell 26" HDTV and a Dell Dimension 9100 PC with 3 megs of RAM. I currently have a Radeon x600 in it and feel that I need something more powerful.

All comments and make/model suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks.

Randy

I read an article at anandtech a week ago, an nvidia vs. ati kind. they were comparing cpu loads when playing blu-ray and hd content etc. image quality and stuff.
in the nutshell:

no budget: go 8800 way
under 300: ATI 19XX series.

For under 300 the best card to get is the ATI X1950XT
