8O Anyone have any idea why ASUS 1950PRO is at least $100.00 if not more cheaper than everyone elses 1950PRO?I want to buy one but I,m worried that it might be watered down version or something.

i was looking on zoomfly at the different 1950 pro cards and to help answer your question. Some of the 1950pro cards have gddr3 memory or gddr4 so that impacts the pricing for the better memory, also some DO NOT come with the crossfire connector. Then just take a look at the memory and core speeds. There is also warrantys and bundles that come with the package

If you are talking about diffrences between these two cards. Price difference is around $90.

1st - 256MB GDDR3 vs 512MB GDDR3
2nd - Higher core clock and memory clock speeds
3rd - Different heatsinks and coolers
4th - It does not come with CrossFire Bridge (ASUS 1950Pro)

I say this ASUS EAX1950PRO/HTDP/256M Radeon X1950PRO GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card is a steal for that price. If you got the cash HIS 1950Pro is a good card with higher core and memory speeds and etc.

Softly? Then let it kill you some more, then spend your money.
Otherwise, spend your money now.

p.s. No difference in cards other than marketing gimmicks and perhaps minor factory OCs. Nothing of importance. The Crossfire here is irrelevant, as you will likely find out that by the time you are considering a 2nd one for X-fire, a better & cheaper card will be available that will beat out 2 x 1950Pros (probably a mid-range DX10 card in mid 2007).

For the $20 diff I recommend this unit: Sapphire Ultimate X1950 PRO You'll love the perrformance and NO fan noise
