E6600 is the best performance/price CPU I believe. I think that's the one most are going for, you get close to the extreme CPU performance for a lot less $$$. I think you can even overclock it to the extreme levels but don't quote me.

If you do want something at Stock Speeds, get the E6600 It also has the 4Mb L2. But if you would like to over clock, get the E6400 and push it to a 2.9Ghz(exact same as X6800), you can easier push the E6600 to 2.9Ghz and have a peace of mind that your specs are exactly the same to an actual X6800 and you'll still be satisfied with the Performance because 2Mb L2 Vs 4Mb L2 at this stage of the game is no longer important.
