I put this build together on zipzoomfly (newegg charges tax here). Looking for a decent gaming rig, also will be doing quite a bit of XNA work, so programming/3d modelling is another requirement.
Skimped on the video card because I'll upgrade when the DX10 cards get cheaper.
Not sure if that's the motherboard I should go with.
Looking for suggestions that will keep me under $1200. Thanks.
If you're not needing SLI or some of the extra goodies on the Asus board, take a look at the Gigabyte S3 or DS3. Saves you $50-60.
Also check out the Seagate 7200.10 drives. About the same price as the WDs, but have faster access times with the perpendicular recording.
The eVGA 7600GT is only $16 more after the $20 rebate at zipzoom.
You'll get a dozen opinions on memory. Corsair is good stuff, but you pay for the name. There's other quality brands out there typically for less. OCZ, G. Skill Geil, etc.
