I have an extra AMD 64 3200 CPU and want to use it for my office machine. I'm currently running an AMD X2 4200. I want to get a new mobo for the 4200 and have narrowed it down to the following mobo.

ESC http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813135175
Biostar http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813138272
DFI http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813136164
ASUS http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131540

Will be using the machine for video capture, editing, and rendering/burning but no games. Need on-board firewire to capture and want 3 PCI slots. Currently have a 7600GT video card but not likely to ever set up SLI but who knows. Will not likely overclock other than using the "high performance" settings in the BIOS. I think ASUS would be the best but really don't want to spend this much and not sure it's justified. Aprreciate any feedback. Thanks

If you fancy the asus but don't mind not having the option for sli, try http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131530 . It's pretty much the same as the sli premium, minus dual gigabit lan and firewire. (and sli, oviously :) ) I've had it for nearly a year it and it's been nothing but stable. Northbridge fan's a bit noisy though so i slapped one of those passive zalman heatsinks on instead, only a couple of quid.

EDIT: just read your bit about firewire, sorry about that. in which case i'd probably go for the DFI.

If it weren't for the firewire, I'd have a lot more choices. With all the digital camcorders being sold you'd think most boards would have it.
