Actually, a Honda VTEC 3.5L V-6 produces 6lbs more torque than a 3.5L Ford V-6. And 8 more HP. With better mileage. Nearly all cars use some sort of variable valve timing nowadays. Honda's problem is they choose efficiency over cubic inches. I'd love to see them do a 4.5-5.0L V-8...sigh.

I'm with you on the torque though. My bud used to have an '88 Mustang GT. 300 ft lbs. A f*cking blast. Loved that car. That being said, although different, it's fun racing an early model S2000 with the 2.0 up to it's 9000rpm redline.
