Everytime I turn on my computer, I get a long continuous beep(not the beeping sound of errors, its a lower tone) until like the Windows screen starts. I think it is the CPU heatsink fan alarm. When I looked at the hardware monitor in Easy Tune 5, the CPU and System item under fan have a blinking red and yellow exclamation mark. Currently the RPM of the CPU is 1150, and the CPU temperature is at 38C.

Is anyone else having this kind of problem? I think I read somewhere that a lot of people are having this issue. Is it generally ignorable? Oh, and when I run I-Cool, the alarm sound comes on again.

well, mine is about to 500rpm.but if you have an adaptor you can bring power to fan direct logg on on a molex(you know the 4 pin couple for hdd,cd etc)but this only if you want oc.and one suggestion buy some ddr 667 or even 800 for oc but be awere without d9 chip for micron because seems to be a problem between d9 chip micron aka. fatbodies on ddr 2 and gigabyte mobo. i have some cheap 2x1gb ddr 667 and i go to ratio 1/1fsb 333 and instead of 2400 i have 2997mhz.(i have same processor like you) you could try . cheers!
