I recently built a new compy, and I hadn't built a desktop from scratch in about 3 years, so I'm worried I forgot something extremely basic in the build of this thing, and in doing so, have created some issues.
I built the computer and connected what I believe to be all the necessary connections. The power supply seems to be in working order, as the case fans seem to be working quite well. The DVD-RW drive is getting power and the hard drive is spinning. In all, I don't notice any problems with the boot process, but I am currently having the following problems.
The issues are:
Keyboard/Mouse not supported on either PS/2 or USB I have attempted to plug in numerous keyboards/mice to ensure that it wasn't a faulty peripheral, but so far there doesn't seem to be anything working in the ports at all. The numlock/capslock led's don't light up, and when using an optical mouse the mouse never receives power to light the laser.
There is no display output The motherboard doesn't have onboard video, so I connected the monitor to the video card. The monitor shows no connection made whatsoever, though the video card certainly has power (the fan is running on the video card). I have attempted to use both DVI ports on the video card, neither displaying anything on the monitor following bootup.
If anyone has any idea as to what the problem might be, I would be extremely grateful for any input. thank you in advance.
