I'm trying to find a list of RAM that uses Micron's D9 chip but the site that used to list this info (http://ramlist.ath.cx/ddr2/) is no longer working. Does anyone else know of a site that will say which DIMM's use Micron D9?
it seems only the top of the line corsair modules (PC2-8000 and above speeds) actually use proper 800mhz certified chips and even these are cas 5 They get the modules to run faster by putting more voltage than the 1.8v JEDEC standard, that's why you commonly see enthusiast ram at voltages over 2v around 667mhz and higher.
And also a lot of corsair's XMS2 line use cheaper promo chips, not micron, and the thing is as long as it meets their spec they need not tell you really. You get what you pay for, if it does a good overclock then your lucky, if not at least you got what you paid for...
I tried that and it didn't work. Anyone with the linked still cached care to post a picture of it??
EDIT- nevermind, I tried it again, and it worked. Thanks a bunch. Hopefully, others can read this and know what to do when they go looking for this website.
It's quite interesting actually to find out that cruicial, a division of micron, actually uses some elpida and samsung ICs...
Also it is interesting to see that corsair doesn't actually use the micron memory available either, and that the majority of their premium XMS2 range use promos or eliidia ICs. Even the 800mhz dominator cas4 uses promos ICs nowadays (as I found out yesterday, courtesy of yellowbeard )...
Taken from the link.. I (and the author of the link) cannot take any blame if you buy these modules and they are not what are listed, the modules may have undergone several revisions after writing.

I believe the modules listed are all the micron D9 ICs that are the 80nm successor to the fatbody micron D9 IC from the link. If there are any other modules that include micron D9 ICs then be free to just post them on this thread with a link to the source/website.
Hope you all have a fun time overclocking everyone!
