I'm getting Alphalink wireless, which connects to my network card. I want to network my laptop to my desktop PC so they can both access the wireless Internet at the same time.

Is it as simple as having a setup like this?

Antenna -> Switch -> Cat5 cable to Both PC's

Alphalink will only set it up on one PC but they say I'm free to setup my own network to share the connection.

Any information will be appreciated.

Emma.

If your account has two IP address then yes you can use a switch. If you dont then you will either need to use ICS or get a router(best choice).

After chatting to a few people I think the router is the best choice. I was just confused at the different between a router, switch and hub.
