I have Windows 2000 Prof. and I'm receiving this error msg. when I try to
select the "New e-mail notification" sound in the volume settings:

"Windows cannot find the file %SystemRoot%\media\Windows XP Notify.wav. Do
you want to use the file for this event anyway?"

I click "yes" to use it anyway, but it does not work. Any advice?

It can't work if the file doesn't exist. Try choosing a file that does exist
such as 'notify.wav'
