my concern is about the power supply going with 8800gtx, i know the video card needs "12V current rating of 30A or more", don't know if its going to go alright with it or not, maybe someone could help me out. Also did anyone tried fitting 8800gtx in similar cases? also would like to hear suggestions on other parts.
well... the combined 12V amp output of the psu is 55 amps (which is easily enough)... but its divided among 4 12V rails... the highest of which is only 18 amps, and the lowest being 8 amps...
+12V1@13A, +12V2@18A, +12V3@16A, +12V4@8A
im not positive myself, but it sounds like such low amperages per 12V rail, might pose a stability problem, especially with such a demanding gpu in use
i suppose if you were to use the 2nd and 3rd 12V rails with the 8800gtx, you might not have a problem, as thats 34 amps right there
ditch that ram. It's really expensive and totally overkill. I'd get a 667 ram since the difference between 800 and 667 is almost none. You can get 2 gigs patriot, OCZ, or muskin 667 ram for $150ish. Use that money for a better PSU to be sure not to blow the PSU with such a demanding GPU.
Well for one I would not consider getting a 5200+ for a new build. price/performance wise you would be better off with a core 2 e6400. It runs as fast and often faster than an fx-60 which is basically what a 5200+ is. Just that the mulipliers are locked.
so 5200+'s cant be overclocked??, some people on product reviews say they successfully did overclock their cpus... any info on that?
also any help on fitting 8800gtx in cases similar to mine? or if someone did fit 8800gtx in their case, maybe someone can give me their case dimensions and /or name of the case

Also even with a mild overclock the E6400 will completely just destroy the 5200+. Also if you go the intel route do not get an nvidia 5xx chipset board. Get either a p965 if not going to sli or a 6xx series if you are. Also I would get different ram. I would go with one of these if still going the AMD route. That psu will be fine with that video card. Ram

If he goes with the AM2 route then yes he does need to get ddr2 800 otherwise his performance will suffer a good deal. Now if he goes core 2 ddr2 800 is not needed unless he wants to do some major overclocking. Even with 667 he can do some mild overclocking. Please show some links though as to where the ddr2 667 is so much cheaper cause everything i have seen so far is around the price of the ddr2 800. Also silverstone makes good psu's so the one he picked should be fine. I remember a test tom's did on the 560watt version of the silverstone zeus and they praised it for its high efficiency.
sorry I was mistaken, I though newegg had some patriot ram for $150 a couple months ago and I was going off that.
