System: Dell Lat D600, Windows 2000 Professional (have latest sp)

Current Problem: During start-up, in both regular and Safe Mode, I get the
login screen (always appearing 'big' like in Safe Mode), but when I hit
Ctrl-Alt-Delete, nothing happens. It's almost as if the keyboard has stopped
working at this point. I even tried hooking up a USB keyboard but that
didn't work. History may help here>

History:
Tried loading DVD X Copy on laptop. Appeared successful, but during restart
got BOD with the KMODE error. Found something similar on web and ended up
disabling cdr4_2k. Now, I figured, I just had to get into Safe Mode, and
uninstall DVD X Copy (yes, this is a copy I bought a long time ago). I
seemed to get another BOD but with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I can't remember
the navigation I had for that, nor how to get it now. Whenever I now reboot
in regular or Safe Mode, I get the current problem above. I've also ran the
Dell Diagnostics and everything is working perfectly.

Comments?

Thanks a bunch!!!
