Hi all,

Thanks in advanced for reading this...I have a Linksys WRT54G v.5 flashed to the latest firmware connected to a WMP54G v.4 WLAN PCI card running on the latest drivers downloaded from the net. I have another Centrino 802.11 b/g laptop as well. The problem I am facing is that I can connect the router and the card but the transfer rate is very very slow. Opening up google.com will take 2-3 minutes and logging on Messenger takes that long as well...I checked the connected speed>54Mbps...the transfer rate is 1Mbps though...i tried my centrino laptop, everything is oke...connected and transfer speed is up to notch...the next step, i reformatted my PC, but the same problem still occured...i used WZC to configure the card, still same problem...i scanned for WLAN network and found one running on a different channel...so I switched off my cordless phone and tried connecting whenever that particular network is not active, but still same problem...the weird thing is that i used it on my friend's machine on a different network and everything's fine...can anyone help troubleshoot what seems to be the problem here? i am beginning to suspect the WLAN card does not like my system :? Thanks!!
