The day after Christmas Fry's had a sale-E6600+ECS P965T-A for $315. I already bought it just because I was saving money on the CPU either way. Should I keep the mobo or get another. I read some good reviews and a few horrible ones, so I don't know what to think. BTW I also picked up an evga 7600gt for 80 bucks.

If you are not planning on overclocking, the ECS board is pretty decent.  The onboard video is one of the best out there.  Depends on what you want to do.

Hell yeah, thats an awesome deal. You're effectively getting a free mobo. Even if you don't want it, you can always sell it.

I haven't read any reviews on mobo, but if it works keep it till the new chipsets come out.

Uh ... the ECS P965T-A does not have onboard video.  :?

bah, the evga 680i board os more than enough right now.  Only get the rd600 if you like ati cards, and you have some serious cooling to c enough to justify buying a board that expensive.  Personally, unless if you can afford a $200 mobo, get a 965 chipset, they run cool and are cheap, plus you can oc pretty well with them

Intel's Bearlake chipset is coming soon. It'll have some nice updates, like faster FSB, PCI Express 2.0, and solid support for Core2Quad.

Opinion--If the free mobo gets the job done, then hold out for future tech or at least a healthy price drop.

No I won't be overclocking and the specs suit my needs.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'm broke at this moment anyway. My new build cleared me out for a while.

I certainly stand corrected.  I took a quick gander at the website http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Produ [...] 94&LanID=0 I saw ATI, and assumed on board video and an ATI chipset.   However it has a more solid Intel chipset and has ATI crossfire compatability.  I believe you got a really nice motherboard.
