A friend of mine says that an ATI Radeon X600SE 512 MB HyperMemory is better than a MSI Radeon X1300 Pro Lite 256 MB HyperMemory... Is this true??

GPU Clock Rate: 300 MHz
RAMDAC Clock Rate: 350 MHz
RAM-type: DDR I SDRAM, 64-bit

Oh dear God...

He probably thinks that it's better 'cos his is a "6" card and yours is a "3" card.

But if you actually bother to look at the specs you posted your X1300 has twice the clock rate, and double the RAM bandwith so therefore is clearly better.

hey the X600 specs seem crap when compared the memory has double bandwidth and the clock is double !!!!.Go for the second card it will be much better and if you have any further doubts chek the VGA comparision charts and see the difference

u know every time im thinking about buying a new video card ati is there and when i have all the money saved up to buy, a week before Nvidia pushes out a new card cheaper and faster and i end up back with nvidia! actually, same goes for AMD and Intel - its the only reason why all my rigs are (well most of em) Intel and Nvidia based. :lol: :lol: :lol:
