I dont feel like scowering other NGs for a computer one that wont end up
being just a flame-fest site, so I thought I'd ask here first.
I have 2 computers networked here at home. None of my cd
writers/readers/burners work now. I have NO idea if it is related, but it
seems odd that all 4 are out of commission. I dont really remember if it
happened at the same time as the networking as I dont really use them very
often. Basically they will rev up, read for a few seconds then stop, then
rev up, read for a few seconds.. etc etc. You get the idea.
I'm wondering, is it a networking setting? Some other setting (Hubby says
something about the Cache?). My main computer is a Compaq Presario running
an ASUS and a Creative Labs CD reader (I have 2 in trying to get ONE to
work).
Any thoughts?
Sorry for the off topicness LOL.
