but the thing is i can't afford to buy a new cpu and a motherboard.i love to get the new Core 2.but when consider my current cpu is only 3 months old.i made a mistake at the beginning when i bought a cheap 7300GT and some Value Ram.The value ram seems to be quite good value when it can allow me to overclock,it run on 712Mhz from a standard 533Mhz.but it fail to go any higher so i upgrade to a pair of corsair.

So do you reckon the CD is good enough for the ATI x1950xt than?because i know that now the main graphics processing is down to the GPU but the CPU is still a factor to consider since to provide information for the GPU to process.so if the cpu can give info at 100block/sec where the GPU can process 200block/sec.so the performance of the CPU is still vital.

Your CPU also does A.I and physic in games so it's not without it benefits. Your CPU is by far the weakest link and I would recommend getting a better one. I'm not saying get a core2[I know you would like one though] just that Trying to get your cpu to 5ghz seems like a lot of work when the performance doesn't beat a 805[ under $100] at much lower speeds. For gaming you up graded in the right spots and you'll really see a vast improvement.
Like you said you can't afford a new CPU/MOBO right now so don't worry about a few frames. In a few months prices will drop and you can get your cpu upgrades.
