Will i need to format my HDD and reinstall XP??

Iv got a new motherboard and processor that I will be assembling tomorrow. Iv already got a pc running windows XP and it basically has all my files on it. I just wanted to check if I would need to format and reinstall everything if I attach this HDD to the new mobo and processor???

Yeah, I just did the same thing. Compaq Asus/P4 515j to Biostar/Opteron 165...huge difference.

I couldn't even boot into safe mode before re-installing, not that I was expecting to.
