I dont know much about ram but I have the timmings set at 4-4-4-12 and with my OC they are running at ddr2-800 so my ram is running at all stock settings, rather then increasing its speed I wanted to lower the timing except I dont know which to lower
the cas, ras to cas delay, ras precharge, and cycle time(tras). tbh i got them off of CPU-z as i can never remember the exact names.
You'll quite likely need to boost the vDIMM in order to get tighter timings(3-3-3- 8 )...and unless it's really good RAM, it might not handle those timings. Increasing speed is easier, than tightening timings...usually. GL
forgot about that. hope his mobo can support higher voltage than he is already supplying. still, he shouldn't need much. i would think their wouldn't be much to gain with tighter timings in the real world anyway but it is his choice.
How do i tell what my ram is running at now? My mobo has voltage options for my ram but I have no clue what stock is. I checked Cpu-z and it isnt listed there
Tried it nothing on the screen before you start up windows and nothing in the bios tells me, anyone know any programs that could tell me. In the mean time
Ill see if the manufacturers product page has anything.
I ran mem test, it appears to be stable but after 2-3 hours of Bf2142
Highest setting my comp gave me the blue screen of death 8O and said something about physical memory being dumped and shut off, would that be my ram or my OCed proc?

Sounds like the RAM. How long did you run Memtest? You may have to up the RAM voltage one more notch. You said you upped it .15v. Is that from a default of 1.8v?....in which case that would put you at 1.95v. You should be safe up to 2.1v, so another jump may do the trick. GL
