DLink DWL 2000AP

i just put in a DWL-2000AP wireless acess point for wireless acess to my cable modem connection. my two laptops connect to it, and wil do AIM instant messenger, but when i try to load web pages, it becomes slow, loads only half of the page, then just dies.....

im using the default ip block 192.168.1.1XX
gateway=192.168.1.1
acess point IP=192.168.1.50
acess point DHCP server in use

It looks like you changed the ip of the AP to 192.168.1.50 from 192.168.0.50 I have a linksys router upstream of the AP, and it uses a gateway of 192.168.1.1 By any chance do you have DHCP active on the router and on the AP?

yup i changed the IP on the AP to 192.168.1.50 and the DHCP is active on my linksys router and on the AP.

i set the gateway on the AP to be 192.168.1.1

->If you have assign a static ip to the access point
->then assign a static ip in the range of the access point in the computer
->login to the access point and check the firmware version
->upgrade the firmware by following the link.
