Hi guys would like to ask the advice of the pros here!

Am considering to purchase a good but cheap computer lets say in the area of 250pounds excluding screen.

Did some researching around and one of the many possibilities of a set up is:

ASUS M2N4-SLI
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ AM2
1 GB DDR2 667 (2x512)
Asus Nvidia 7300GS 256MB PCI-E

Is it a good setup? Any other suggestions? are there any better setups?
sorry for the questions but thanks :D

I think you should just buy a normal pc. Look around and you should be able to find a good deal which would probably turn out cheaper

That would be £12 less, so all for about £270

could put 1Gb RAM in for another £35, might want a few case fans too

hope this helps

Buying a system at that price is really limiting, as I'm sure you know.

Perhaps wait out until you can do a 'proper' build - as a general rule I really don't think you should build with anything less than a gigabyte of RAM right now.

For sure ditch anything that might cost more like an SLi board....perhaps even a smaller hard drive, or consider reusing your current one if you have one?

Check eBuyer + Komplett if you're in this stage of penny-pinching, you might save a few quid.
