The measure of all the votes for mCCain is one measure of stupidity... and greed. Mainly stupidity.

As for Palin, only stupidity. Seriously, people are too stupid. The biggest problem with stupid people is they don't know they are stupid. When they are told they are stupid, as kindly and gently as possible, they react with more stupidity. Most of us are satisfied with our human appearance, hardly ever improving our mental capacity.

Excuse me, but you're stupid if you believe the only way to heaven is through Christ (blessings be upon him), let alone if you believe in heaven. You're stupid if you believe Islam is the last religion from god. You're stupid if you believe in Satan. You're stupid if you believe there is a god, and you're more stupid if you don't. You're stupid if you think being born on any specific piece of land is significant. You're stupid if you're patriotic. You're stupid if you're sexist, racist, feminist, and you're more stupid if you think you're not.

It all come down to levels of stupidity and most people are pretty stupid. Some of you with smaller testicle may reply big to make up for what is lacking, but lets face it; you're pretty stupid. In fact, if you ever take any of this post personally, you're pretty stupid. I know most of you do take it personally, but it's interesting to see you also deny it. I mean seriously, how the hell do you go on and on with senseless BS? "I like being this way and I enjoy it, F*CK YOU!" No, F*CK you, you bunch of overgrown babies.

In the red corner you have Obama ... not too savvy but well meaning, charming, and a man of the people. Sounds like he lacks a bit on the policy front ... but then which President ever came into the hot seat knowing everything.

Reagan was an actor ... sounds like this guy might know a bit more at least.

In the blue corner you have a guy from a retirement home, and his offsider who seems to have no dimplomacy and little international political knowledge, and is keen to keep your forces busy ... one of those we worry about in terms of having access to the big red button.

I look at politics much like I look at religious beliefs. You have yours. I have mine. I don't want to get into a debate most of the time, so don't shove your beliefs down my throat. I'd much rather have something along these lines:
Neighbor: So, what way are you leaning in the election?
Me: Well, I'd rather see McCain in office.
N: Personally, I think Obama would be better for the country.
Now, I have the option of saying:
Something non-committal: Either way, we are screwed.
Something to end the conversation: Well, yeah, Obama could be OK too.
Or, I could see if he wants to argue about it: Why would Obama be the better choice?

I explained it to my mother-in-law this way: Woudl you rather get hit by a car travelling 80 mph or 30 mph?

Either way you're going to get hit, but you stand a better chance of survival with the slower car, e.g. McCain.

I thought about this on my run this morning: Is the mainstream media trying to portray / spin Palin as an empty suit a la what the alternative media is protraying Obama? Answer: one of the real problems with Palin is that she is having to now tow the campain line. It's obvious that she is uncomfortable with some of McCain's proposed policies, but she did accept the nomination.

As far as the reason for picking Palin there were only a few that we thought might be viable: Bobby Jindal, Tom Tancredo, Mike huckabee. . . but when it became apparant that Obama wasn't even vetting Clinton, Palin became the obvious choice. That and McCain needed a real conservative on the ticket to excite the base. I think it has been one of the more brilliant political moves in my lifetime (it would be if they actually win), second only to Perot's effect on the 1992 (and subsequent 1996) presidential election, the 1994 Contract With America.

I agree that it may be one of the more brilliant political moves in your lifetime, but then again it may not. If enough people believe that it was purely political, that McCain could give a crap less about the policy 'statement(s)' his choice seemingly made or that he claimed, and was just going for spec interest votes, the choice could possibly PO enough people to backfire.

Just a possibility.
