How to make boot on hardisk

I use dual OS (win98 at C:\ and win2000 at D:\). Sometimes OS Win98 is
broken. So that I have to format C:\. this mean Boot for win2000 is also
erased. Then i reinstall Win98 and after finished. I can't start Win2000.

How can i start win2000 without reinstall? or Can I make Boot for win2000?

You should probably create two partitions on your hard disk the next time you format: Put Windows98 on one and Windows 2000 on
another. If you need to access both from either O/S, you need to format them as FAT, not NTFS.

You do not need to entirely reformat C:\ just to reinstall Windows98 though. You can simply delete the \WINDOWS folder that contains
Win98, and then reinstall it.

After you reinstall Win98 with either method, you then need to boot Windows 2000 from the CD and run a repair to fix the boot
information -- which as you've found out is overwritten by the Win98 install. There are several third-party boot managers available
for free or low cost that should be able to save you this step.

Can U give some name of third-party boot managers so free? Where can i
download it?
