I had the Linksys BEFW11S4 ver.4 for around 2 months(1 month on the newest firmware) now, everything worked nicely until today. All of a sudden it stopped routing internet access. I could still view my network and exchange files within the network, but couldn't access the internet. Reset to factory defaults, and the problem got fixed. Two hours later, same thing happened! Unplugged it from the wall and plugged it back in, fixed the problem again. Does anyone know the source of the problem?

I have been using a BEFSR41 for around 5 months now, and the only time anything like that happens is when I loose communications with my ISP, which happens occasionally. I just reset the router and modem, and everything works great again.

Thanks, it wasn't the ISP though. I finally fixed the problem by reinstalling the firmware.

Linksys makes crapy routers...Period! When you get tired of all the trouble it WILL give you, give it to your mother-in-law!
