I have one chassis fan connection left on my ASUS P5B Deluxe (non WiFi) and need to plug the two front case fans (80mm x 2) into that. Can I just parrallel the fans cables and plug both into 1? Will that mess up the RPM readings? Or should I just parrallel the power to the second fan and let the first one send the PWM data?

Thanks,

Tom

I want ASUS Q-Fan to be able to monitor and adjust the fan speed. The ASUS folks list the connectors as rated up to 2A or 24W. The two fans are 80mm and don't look like high perf ones (1900 rpm max). After some searching, I found a Y connector.

I ordered a couple. Do you think 2 average 80mm fans will exceed 24W? I'm not sure. I guess I could hook up the VAM to check it out.

Thanks,

Tom
