Try plugging the Ipaq straight into the charger with the adapter and
not using the cradle. I find this gives my 5550 an extra kick, it might
work on the 5455.

Some IPAQ's seem to do this after they have fully
discharged at least a few times (completley drained) many
times replacing the battery fixes this problem because of
the electronics in the battery seem to be confused. You
could of course try what the person above said, but I'd
reccommend also turning the power off on the pc during
charging to prevent a trickle drain.
