Creative Webcam 3 + Win 2000 Video works/Still pictures do..

I have a Creative Video Blaster Webcam connected to a Windows 2000
server SP4 PC through USB. I have installed the original drivers as
well as the newest drivers. Th problem I am havinbg is with the Snap
Shot feature. Let's say I open the native Imaging program in Windows
and select the New button. The Creative screen appears, with the
preview screen working. The video works fine, but when I select the
Snap Shot button to take a still picture, nothing happens. Anbybody
seen this before?

One thing to add, I previously installed the entire Creative suite
which included the web console- its snap shots worked......
