Most quiet ones I've used personally are the SilenX 120's 64cfm@14dBA
for around $20. But if you can live with 21dBA get the thermaltake thunderblades for $5 at Xoxide, 78cfm 21dBA

Im using a TT 120mm on my heatsink. Doesn't sound anything like a hair dryer though. You can hear the air moving but nothing drastic. Meh for $5, it works for me. There are fans out there more silent but cost more than what I want to spend. I ordered 6 more TT 120's and 1 TT 80mm for my case, I'll be installing them tonight after work. If the baby wakes up screaming wtf after I power it up then I'll just keep the stock fans in and post here

Meh 21dBA? more like 35-40. I dunno, I wish I could measure the sound. It's too loud to leave it like this
I'm thinking its time for that 7 fan sunbeam chromatic windmill fan controller. My comp reminds me of being in a server room with the ac cranked and having to yell to be heard. 1 or 2 TT's wouldnt be bad but 7 of them all together? God I just spent 2 hours putting them in just to go deaf.
Oh and whatever cooler you decide to get, make sure its the one with the backplate. FFS i spent atleast 20 minutes trying to secure the 4 clips on to the mobo evenly and secure. And I ran dual prime for two hours, temps only dropped by 2 degrees. Live and learn I guess

You know what?...just screw air cooling and go liquid.

replaced my fans with silent ones, now all's quiet but um don't buy into Silenx's numbers. They advertise 72cfm@1400rpms 14dBA and give you 64cfm@1400rpms instead. 90cfm@18dBA? SilenX is full of sh*t

ok, no silenx then, their numbers do seem a little off anyway

how about scythe s-flex fans? was thinking about the 1600rpm model to get max airflow in my p180
