Need quiet Laptop

I have a great Sager 9300 laptop, Powerful, but its constant fan noise is driving me buggy. What do you suggest either to fix this one or replace it with.

Is the fan's automatic speed control working?

I am not sure. It cycles up and down depending on load, but under little or no load it is still going. It is never quiet. My wife has a macbook pro and the thing is virtually silent. My older Dell i also very quiet compared to this. You cannot watch a video on this one without straining to hear.

If the fan speed is cycling, it means that the auto fan speed controls are working.

Try swapping laptops with your wife!
