If you're using an ide hard drive, it might be a similar problem associated with the non-pro ab9. If you're using a sata drive, then I wouldn't know.

In BIOS, in uguru settings, make sure that the memory is set to 677. go down about 3 categories and make sure all the controllers are up and running. I believe the IDE channel is on the jMicron controller. Is your HD plugged in to the group of 6 SATA ports? Try loading the Intel SATA Raid driver disk for F6, just to make sure the controller's seen.

is this a new install or an existing one that you carried over from amother mobo?
if the latter then you need to do at minimum a Repair install or better a new install.
