Hi!
I have a very annoying problem that i have been trying to solve for about a month now, and im really starting to get desperate here!

I have a 10mbit connection. It has always been working fine up until a month ago. Now all of a sudden i get very good upload speeds (or well, the same as ive always had) but the download speed is very VERY low. I get an upload speed of about 5-7mbit/s but a download speed of about 20-300kb/sec. At first we thought it was the router so we bought a new one. Old one was a dlink 624+ and new one is a NETGEAR WGT624. Now, this solved the problem on our laptop but not on our maincomputer. We know its not the router seeing as we tried to hook it up straight to the fiber but problem persisted. Its (probably) not a damaged WLAN card in our computer seeing as we have 2 cards for our computer, one for WLAN and a normal one. I get the same problem with both. Ive found the speedresults through using both tptest3 and 5. If you need any more info, plz ask and ill answer to the best of my knowledge. And ohh btw, no programs where installed by me nor a family member around the time the problem arised and we havent done any changes to the system either. It had been working fine for over a year with no changes done. It stoped working around the 8th-10th (hard to say as i didnt use the internet at all on the 9th so dont know if it happened there) if there was some kind of microsoft fix that was launched around that time that might have messed it up.

It is very unlikely that you have 5-7 mbit up and 20-300kbit down. Are you sure they are not flip flopped. Time a download to be sure.

Your ISP could have your upload and download values flip-flopped but this would be highly unlikely.

Others running a webserver would kill for those specs, normally the upload (outgoing traffic) is much smaller.

Just tested with TPTest 3.12.

Highest reached speed transmiting: 6.30Mbit/s

Highest reached speed recieving: 91.00kbit/s

This is the TCP values. UDP is around 9mbit both.
