ive noticed on some websites it says "SLi Compatible - later driver update" so its probley just getting not much better scores cause the drivers arnt tuned to SLi yet?
A driver update will certainly help, though some games are already optimised for SLI. I wish that review would have put benches of a single card up also, it is hard to draw any conclusions for what we are interested in seeing when they only compare it to other multi card setups.
Keep in mind that two 8800GTX's are going to stick the bottleneck somewhere else in the system when running at any resolution except massive ones. I see that 1920 x 1200 is the highest they run at for those benches, I think two 8800s are still being bottlenecked in most games by the CPU at that resolution. There may be some exceptions but if you want to see a real change in most games you will have to be playing at 2860 x 1600 or whichever crazy resolutions you can configure with dual monitors.
In my opinion it wouldn't be worth it to SLi 2 8800's because the bottlenecking would be so oppressive. You would be required to have at least two monitors and you would probably be able to play at any resolution you want.
