Crossfire Dx10 with Dx9???

I currently have a 1900xtx and it performs great. However I am worried about it not supporting the new features of the upcoming Dx10. I'm not gonna run out and buy a Dx10 card just for the heck of it, but I will when a game comes out that I really want.

I was wondering if anyone knew any information about running the new R600 in crossfire with my 1900xtx. It would seem feasible that since the R600 would be "the master card" that I could run Dx10 fully enabled and the 1900xtx could just crunch numbers, possibly just being "dumb". But on the other side of that I might not be able to. I haven't been able to find any information on this and am trying to gather if I am going to have a compatibility issue in the near future.

I don't think you can run cards from different ranges in crossfire but I might be wrong.

You can't.

You can only run Crossfire with same GPUs. Like X1900 with a X1900. They cannot be mixed X1900 with R600.
