Im close to buying/building my first custom PC. Ive been trying to learn as much as I can, but its a bit much to take in. Im wondering what PSU I should buy. Heres my specs and what I want to use the system for:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
ASUS P5W DH DELUXE
Tuniq Tower 120 P4 & K8 CPU Cooler
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
PNY GeForce 8800GTX
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio
Western Digital Caviar RE2 WD5000YS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA
COOLER MASTER Stacker 830
Samsung 18x DVD+RW
LITE-ON DVD-ROM

I plan to overclock the E6600 to ~3.2/3.4ghz, thats why Im getting the Tuniq Tower 120. That should keep it cool, right?

I found this PSU which seems like a good price:
Thermaltake W0106RU Complies with ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V version 700W Power
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817153039

So, my questions:
1. Will the Tuniq Tower be sufficient for CPU cooling?
2. Will this PSU be good?
3. Is the Corsair XMS2 good RAM?
4. Is there anything else I need to buy, such as fans, cooling, cables, etc?

I appreciate any help anyone can give me!

1. yes
2. yes. Only TT Toughpower, not any other TT psu.
3. yes
4. at least one more 120mm case fan as the case you chose comes with one in the back. Not enough. Esp. you're overclocking. Personally, I wouldn't touch any case in which the hard disks need space in the case to be pulled out. Any sideway drive cage would be much better. I broke an sata connector cuz of that. At another time, I broke something else on the mobo.

Looks good to me as well... though why not get 2 DVD/CD R Burners instead of the DVD ROM?

You look like you know what your doing. You have a good handle on everything. Enjoy the build.

Should I go with a different brand? I just need to stay around $200 for the PSU.

If I wanted to upgrade to SLI 8800GTX in the future, what kind of PSU will I need for that?

Also, can anyone point me in the direction of a decent guide to building your own PC from scratch? Ive never done it before, and a good step by step guide would really help. (Didnt want to start a new thread just to ask this question).

I'd say you should be in pretty good shape. You should be more than pleased with your performance.
