Cannot login to win2kpro

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.win2000.general (More info?)

when logging in using administrator account acts as if it is going log in
then just reverts back to login screen - if I use the incorrect password it
errors saying incorrect password - I know the admin user and pw is correct
however somehow the admin login wont accept. I have no ohter user accounts
besides administrator - all of this happened when I used Partition Commander
to image drive then reworked mirror array and restored image - now boots to
login but credentials do lot let me log in
