Our Panasonic 47" DLP has only one DVI (as most TVs do). Currently,
there's only one DVI output from our HTL-HD. However, I have been
excited about getting a DVI-output DVD player. Is there any way to
get a "switch box" for DVI? I understand the signal is digital, but a
physical line-switcher should work, even if it's a manual box. Just
curious.
To tell the truth, DVI output from a DVD is overkill; I read the box
on two models and the only difference seems to be that it upconverts
from 480p to 720p. I'm not terribly impressed and will probably just
buy a $59 progressive (480p) scan model. AMW (Amphion Media Works)
has an integrated surround sound reciever system with 120W of speakers
*and* 480p DVD player for $79. At that price, just buy it and throw
it away in six months (or more). What say you all?
