bf 2142 black terrain

ust installed game
using patch 1.10
ati x800gto vc using latest omega drivers
e6600 c2d
nec 20" ws monitor

get into game ok, but terrain is black in big sections as well as some trees, but is Ok in other areas. Some aircraft are black as well. When i hit esc key game crashes to desktop.

what can u suggest

Re-install BF2142 and your video card driver.

I agree, reinstall the game. I had to reinstall about 12 times to get my BF2142 to work. Then V1.03 patch came out and it worked like a dream since then.

I thought there was a patch to fix the problem it is a known problem and is not your hw

Actually... It might be a sign the GPU is overheating.
I had a similar experience with my ati x800XL
I sent it to warrenty offices and they fixed it up.

The only problem I've ever had with my GPU was, well, bad. I was playing GRAW, and in the middle of a multi match, comp crashed. All cause of my crappy ultra PSU. Fryed my mobo, and GPU.

Stay away from ultra.

Seems to be only an issue in m'player with minsk map. Other maps OK. Have reinstalled game. Re o'heating card, not an issue in other games.

i used to have that problem too. make sure you install all microsoft updates, and the lastest direct X, also install lattest drivers.
