EZ sli plug ?

hi all,

i have a evga 680 with tagan 900Watts who has 4 pci express connector (quad sli), i know i must connect 2 of these pci express connecter power to each card, but do i need also to connect a 4 pin power cable to the EZ sli plug or not ? i never had sli config, its the first time..anyone can help please ?

im reading the evga mb manual. they strongly recommand to plug a 8 pin atx volt but i have only 2X 4 pin connector for atx12v, can i plug these 2 on the atx12v or is it not recommanded ? should i just put one of these 4 pins in the slots 1,2,5,6 ?

if you need an 8-pin connector for your m'board but your PSU only has a 4 pin then i think you will need this: 4-pin to 8-pin convertor

nop they say we can use a 4 pin connector only, they just strongly recommand to use a 8 pin connector, but it still works with a 4 pin..anyone here has a evga680 and use a 4 pin connector instead of 8 ? atm on my p5b deluxe im using a 4 pin connector and it works great, wondering why would i need a 8 pin for this board
