i am thinking of upgrading my pc a bit. i am looking to upgrade my processor and my motherboard. i currently have amd athlon 3000+ socket 754 and my motherboard is msi k8n neo 3-f. i am thinking of upgrading to core 2 duo e6300 and a motherboard compatible with it, but a cheap one. now the thing is that i need a motherboard which can support DDR 400, is SATA Compatible, have a pci express slot (x16 not any other like x8 or something). can anyone recommend me one but the price must be the cheapest. one more thing, i would prefer if the chipset is nforce. hope to hear from u all soon. thanks.

As always, check for compatibility yourself, but I found a few neat boards for you:

$46 USD - Supports DDR and DDR2 memory as well as a Core 2 Duo, although it has an AGP slot, not PCIe

$56.99 If you prefer PCIe then here's another ddr/ddr2 board that supports it

No. You're a need of a niche that I don't think anyone has fulfilled. At least I can't find anything.

You want to great of a mix of old a new technologies. I was surprised there was even a motherboard that would support DDR and DDR2.

^This is a list of all motherboards sold on NewEgg that support Core 2 Duo, DDR, and DDR2. So these are pretty much your newegg choices. I did not look elsewhere. (Note, some motherboards are PCI-e and some are AGP)
