Can anybody reccommend me some cheap $20-$50 speakers?

Does anybody know where I can get some cheap $20 speakers? My friend wants a new set and I'm thinking about buying them a small set for at least under $50. They don't have a sound card so nice speakers would probably be wasted without an upgrade of the sound card. The purpose of the speakers are mainly for listening to music.

hmm..dang thats cheep! I got my parrents some Cyber Acoustics 2.1 CA3550WB about year ago and they are starting to crackle like the speakers are getting too much bass, I guess they are blown, I'll try these DCT's too.


edit: BTW what is P.M.P.O Power Rating ??

well i dont know how those 5.1 spk set is gonna do you but i own some Logitech X-230 and their great speakers, lots of great reviews on them also so their well known and respect speakers for cheap, new egg is out of stock of those, but you can find them any where for usaly under 40 bucks. if your willing to spend 60$ new egg has the Logitech X-530 which is the 5.1 version of the x-230's

i'd reccomend the x-530's.. great set of 5.1's.
and as for the 30w on those dct speakers....the wattage doesn't really mean anythin, if they were 500w, it still wouldn't mean anythin if you were lookin at the quality that is projected from the speakers.
if you've a decent sound card, the x-530's are perfect.

So you'd recommend a sound card over onboard sound with those speakers?

Would the card below be a significant jump over onboard sound?

those two work quite well with each other...The 530's with the audigy 4 se is exactly my set up. Im really picky when it comes to sound.

It may not seem like a crazy set up, but trust me, for a pc sound system, its good enough.
