I have an application which starts with a windows that is smaller than
my LCD screen BUT about 1 quarter of it is outside the screen. I have
to move the window so that it is all inside the screen each time I
start the program.

How to I make it start with the window all in the screen ? Thanks.

After dragging the window to where you want, hold the shift key down as you close the window with the Red X in the upper right.

It seems to work but the position of the windows it not fixed when I
start it. It's slightly off where I've placed it and still outside the
screen sometimes. I wonder if this is a program problem or
configuration problem.

Nokia Phone Editor V6.41 (I think the version is this one.)

Almost certainly the program's fault. Can you tell us which program?

I don't use it to manage phonebook. I use it to send/receive SMS.

I've got Nokia Phone Editor 4.6 from the Nokia PC Suite 5, and it seems
to choose the starting window position slightly at random - somewhere in
the top left part of my screen (1280x1024). There don't seem to be any
registry settings which might store user preferences regarding the
window position. Worse, if you start it from a shortcut where the window
mode is specified as Maximized, it ignores it.

I believe there are other phone book editors, not from Nokia, available.
