Right now I have a Geforce4 MX440. CPU is a 2.6 P4 and I have 512 MB of RAM which I am going to double soon.

Definitly looking for something under $100, most of the games I play are a couple years old, like the Total War series for example. And the current video card is AGP.

A 6600GT should be a good enough upgrade for those games (I have one myself), and should cost right around $100 US, according to Tom's latest best graphics cards for the money article. I really can't think of any other card worth getting that would fit into your budget. If you do decide to get this card though, make sure it's the GT version and not the vanilla, or even worse, the crippled LE version.

The 6600Gt would be a great card. I can't find one anywhere. I did find these two for about $100. Anything under those seems a waste of money.
