Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody has come across this. Recently since the
install of some MS patches our PowerEdge 725N is rebooting every
morning at the same time. The only message of any use I'm getting in
the event logs is:

Source: save dump
Event ID: 1001
Description: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck
was: 0x0000004d (0x00039696, 0x00000000, 0x0000b606, 0x00000090).
Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in:
C:\WINNT\MEMORY.DMP.

Thanks for your ideas
Chris

I have seen two problems on older servers in the last week with Windows
2000 SP4 rollup 1.

If this is one you're referring to, I'd try uninstalling it and declining it and see if that
corrects the problem.

A 4d is a very unusual stop. It might indicate a problem with a hardware driver;
it you've updated drivers lately or applied the hardware driver updates, I'd definitely
roll these back.

Try uninstalling the recently installed patches and see if the problem goes
away. If so then reinstall one patch at a time to discover which one is the
culprit.
