My SAT-HD200 has acted strange like this before but this time forget
it. This isn't a signal related problem. All my channels (from
directv) have a digital mess across the top. Then the entire screen
goes green with boxes jumping all over the place. I have checked all
connections, unplugged the unit for hours and reseated the card. The
menu (system menu) runs slow and unresponsive at times.

There is only one way to reset everything in the HD200, unfortunately it is
not in the operating instructions. It is is called NVRAM reset. Depress the
left, right and select buttons at the same time to inititate this. Give it
a try.

That didn't work. Can the software version be blownout and reinstalled somehow?

You most probably have a hardware problem. You can either borrow someone's
tuner to verify that your antenna system is OK, or send the HD200 in for
repair.
BTW, have you talked to SONY?

I already tried another box and it worked fine. I have called sony and
they said send in at the flat reair rate of $80. Which I'm going to do
now.
