I'm thinking about buying one from Puget since they have a lot of positive reviews. Here's a Puget computer that I customized:

Case: Antec P183 (Gunmetal Finish)
CD / DVD Rom: Pioneer 22X DVD-RW SATA (black)
CPU: Intel Core i3 530 DUAL CORE 2.93GHz 73W
CPU Cooling: Gelid Tranquillo
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB
Motherboard: Asus P7P55D-E Pro
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM
Power Supply: Antec CP-850 850W Power Supply
Ram: 2 x Kingston ValueRAM DDR3-1333 2048MB
Services: Warranty: Lifetime Labor, 1 Year Parts
Sound Card: Onboard Sound
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB

Totaling $1544.92. Is there a store where I can get a similar quality computer for less? Also, around how much less would I spend if I made one myself?

Puget is good! Stay away from the name brands because they will add in their crap along with the Operating System. Either get Puget or build your own.
