Hi , new to this,.
I'm an IT technician working in primary/first schools and have been asked to set up a wireless network in a school. I have several DLink access points (g standard) to play with and want to make it so that staff can seemlessly connect wherever they roam within the school. I think that i should give every AP the same SSID (althought all have a fixed IP address) and the same WPA key. I'll give them a different channel according to their location but is that all I have to do? Seems to simple to me - what do you think?

I think that title is just asking for trouble.

Hermstar - can I ask why you thought the "Networking" section was unsuitable for this post?

Might I tentatively suggest that if your IT skills do not extend to being able to navigate a simple forum, that maybe you should consider an alternative career? Perhaps llama-suit testing?

Yes! That would be the ideal solution.
