I just finished my build, installed Windows XP Home, all drivers etc. The last set of drivers I attempted to install were the 97.44 Forceware video drivers. When the install is 3/4 of the way thru I get a blank screen and the process stops. The only way to get back into windows is to do a reset, hit F8 and have it load VGA drivers.
Once there in looking in dxdiag there is not even a tab for display. For some reason it refuses to fully install 97.44.
I can remove 97.44 and then install the drivers on the CD and everything works fine. I believe these are the earliest drivers for the 8800gts. Has anyone had this problem and figured out a way to solve it? Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, I don't have an answer, but I'd be interested in hearing one. I'm about to build something too with an 8800 GTS and XP Pro. Anybody have any input?
