Monster Cable Electric has something called " Stage 2 clean power." Does this
really make a better picture and is it worth my $200.00 for a better picture
End higher ticket prices! Go to local college games!

Some people claim to see a difference. I have never been able to detect it
visually, nor in test signals, with any of the several power line
filters/conditioners that I have tested. Their surge suppressors without
the filters seem to have comparable specs to the higher quality surge
suppressors like the TrippLite, ESP, and Panamax. I'd stick with those for
protection and not worry about line filters.

and don't forget Monster's upcoming product... I scarfed this copy off a
pre-release website

PureSine(TM) Audio-Qualified (TM) electricity
Available only in California, Monster's PureSine(TM) power is 100% natural,
generated by Guaranteed Green(TM) renewable resources
and of course, available only from Monster, the company that wrote the book
on sound quality. Monster uses specially designed oxygen-free, helium-3
cooled generators made with refined 24 carat FineGeld(TM) gold wire,
hand-wound in Germany on Isotopically-Pure(TM) platinum coated rotors. which
are individually tuned by Monster's PhD engineers to produce PureSine(TM).
Monster's engineers have designed special sapphire-helium bearings that
allow Monster's PureSine(TM) generators to rotate precisely and without the
vibration present in conventional generators.

PureSine(TM) is guaranteed to be generated at a completely pure 100% 60.000
Hz 120.000 Volt sine wave, unlike unstable and noisy power from those old
technology industrial power generators who produce power polluted by
harmonics and other other artifacts - but what do you expect, they are
making coarse industrial grade power for motors and lights, not pure,
certified Audio Qualified(TM) energy for connoisseurs with an ear for
quality. And unlike commercial power, PureSine(TM) is 100% nuclear and
fossil fuel free!

PureSine(TM) is the power your high end home theater was designed for... and
available for only dollars per day. PureSine(TM) can be purchased for your
home theater at the special connoisseur-pleasing price of $1 per KW-HR...
Allowing you to provide your home theater with enough pure energy to watch
hours of TV for less than the cost of a low-resolution DVD.

So if you have the best home theater money can buy, make sure it's powered
by the best electricity your money can buy - PureSine(TM).by Monster.

This stuff is going to be great!! At last we can have power as good as the
cables that carry it!

Actually I did a bit of DIY power regeneration. I used my power amplifier
and fed it a sine wave from a PC-based generator, and ran the output
through a step-up transformer. Adjusted the volume control until I got
115V. I ran my DIY DAC and heapdhone amps on this. Couldn't hear a
difference from running them directly on mains power, so the power supplies
have good enough filtering, BUT I could hear a difference in audio quality
when I increased the frequency from 60Hz to 100Hz. Small difference, but
my friend helped me do a blind test and it's detectable. I tried raising
frequency even more but that blew the fuses. Did I mention I'm not
completely sane :)
