I agree - AMD has much more for your money. If you are worried about future upgrades, have a look at this thread on AM3 vs. 1366/1156

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/281073-28-1366#bas

The general consensus seems to be that AM3 will last longer.

The first case is a bit larger, but the second one is cheaper. They both seem to be strong choices. I re-use cases in all of my builds, something to consider if you are on a budget, so I can't really comment, but I have heard good things about Cooler Master cases.

I don't want to comment on the HDD, since I personally have not bought any recently. Both Seagate and Western Digital are good brands, use your own judgment.

Good choice on the graphics card, very good power for the money, and XFX is a good brand.

RAM seems fine to me.

For the motherboard, I recommend this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128416&cm_re=gigabyte-_-13-128-416-_-Product
Gigabyte makes good motherboards, and this one has the advantage of supporting USB 3 and SATA 6GB/s

This build comes to about $720 before tax or shipping.

I am assuming here that you don't need a PSU, CD/DVD drive etc. since you didn't list those components.

Good luck with your build!

EDIT: Spelling & Grammar

EDIT:

If you are only installing a few (10-20) games, I have found that a drive much smaller than 500gb will do. If you have an old drive lying around you may or may not be able to use that. Drives will only come down, and buying an expansion drive will be supported easily by both the motherboard and case, no matter which of the three options you choose.

If you need to buy an OS, that's another ~100 dollars. More for higher versions of Win 7.
